Hi. Thanks for checking this stuff out. I am excited to be here.
I really don't know where to start ....OK how about this?...
In early 2001, I changed basically everything. Location, career,
the whole enchilada.
I engaged in several entrepreneurial adventures which afforded
me an unprecedented amount of unstructured time. It also afforded
me with an unprecedented constriction on my cash flow. Hmmmmm.
All kinds of time and very little money. Add Attention Deficit
Disorder to the mix. It added up to some big time fun.
It
began innocently enough: decorating my barn with bottle caps (getting
the supplies is the most fun)and all manner of metal debris; decorating
my yard with bowling balls. As people noticed my choice of media
(ahem), they began making donations. I had a very large deck that
held all sorts of booty from my collection sorties....People began
to just stop by and drop off bowling balls, bags of blue bottles,
rusty metal thingamadoes. You name it.
Stacking
and restacking that "stuff" became my greatest source of inspiration-
"..oh gosh- look at that! Never would have put those two things
together...".
On
the internet, I discovered a huge community of mosaic artists
as generous as they are talented. By listening to them, studying
their work and experimenting - I have learned much.
